award-winning painter Svetlana Kanyo.
Svetlana studied Education and Visual Arts in the Ukraine. She has more than 15 years experience as teacher and over 20 years experience as an artist. Her artworks are in private collections across the world - Germany, Austria, Hungary, Holland, Denmark, Russia, Ukraine and the USA. She has participated in art exhibitions in Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Hungary and Germany. In 2008 she received First Place in the Art Week International Art Competition in Moscow. After living for a few years in Germany where she worked as private art teacher, Svetlana moved with her family to Edmonton in November 2009.
